Stolen Car Chase Comes Through Monrovia, Arcadia

A pair in a stolen 2005 Toyota led LAPD officers on a chase that lasted roughly an hour.

Two people in a stolen car led Los Angeles police on an early morning chase that sliced through Monrovia and Arcadia before ending in Pasadena, City News Service reports.

Officers spotted a reportedly stolen red 2005 Toyota near Sycamore Park Drive and Figueroa Street in Montecito Heights just before 2 a.m. and attempted to make a stop, which then triggered the pursuit, said Sgt. Wayne Guillary of LAPD's Northeast Division to City News. The chase went throught the San Gabriel Valley cities of Monrovia, Arcadia and El Monte before ending at around 3 a.m. in Pasadena, he said.

The couple was taken into custody, and a search of the vehicle turned up drugs, Guillory said.
