Janie Duncan, President of the Monrovia Rockhounds, will be on the new TV show America's Lost Treasures this Wed. night July 18th at 9:00 pm. (Make sure you are watching National Geographic and not Nat Geo Wild.) She was filmed at the Museum of Natural History in LA for 2 days last November and was picked to be featured on this episode with her 3 foot long dinosaur leg bone found by her father in 1934 in northern Wyoming. The femur is Janie's favorite fossil out of her vast collection and she never knew what kind of bone it was until the filming of this show. You will have to watch to find out for yourself what kind of dinosaur and how old it is! Janie does free Rock Talks, History of Beads, Organic Beads, History of Buttons and Preschool Dinosaur programs for schools and other groups. Check out the Monrovia Rockhounds website www.moroks.com for club meetings and contact information. Janie is the owner of Janie's Jurassic Jewelry.
