Celebrity Dogs Will Bark in the Park for Good Causes This Weekend

The dogs will be at the Monrovia Family Festival on Friday to raise awareness for their causes.

Two "canine ambassadors" will visit Friday's Monrovia Family Festival to promote the Make A Wish Foundation and fire safety for firefighting dogs.

Emma Zen, a labrador mix who survived the 2007 Santiago fire in Orange County, has been the spokesdog of a campaign to equip all dogs serving in fire departments with oxygen masks, organizers said.

Zen's co-ambassador, "Doc Barker," will join her with his own agenda: helping to raise money for the Make A Wish Foundation. Doc Barker, a chocolate lab, is being trained to become a service dog for a lucky owner.
