Comments of the Week: "Fill a squirt gun with a really smelly alcohol like tequila and squirt the little jerks"

A look at what Patch readers are talking about on the sites.

We take pride in our work here at Patch and always strive to bring our readers interesting news. However, we must admit, sometimes the most interesting part of a great Patch story is the comments from readers that it sparks.

This week our "Back to School" stories brought out humor in our readers. Click the headlines for the full stories and thread of comments.

Monrovia Students Return to School and Leaders Host Stormwater Forum

Ellen Zunino August 21, 2013 at 07:50 PM I have old friends in Wisconsin and they report that temperatures are falling as Fall approaches. But that's the upper Mid-West. What's with CA schools starting the school year during the hottest part of the summer? Does the district enjoy paying the $$$ for all the extra days of running the air conditioning? It's not pleasant walking home from school in the heat and trying to think and do homework in a hot, unairconditioned house is awful. School used to begin in the middle, even the 3rd week of September and end during the 3rd week of June - you remember June, the month with all the cloudy, drizzly mornings and cool, overcast days. Why not let the kids continue swimming, playing in the sprinklers or just sitting in a shady, cool spot during August and hold them in school through the mellow days of June?

Monrovia PD Offers Back to School Safety Tips
Lizkolberg August 22, 2013 at 12:20 AM Please will someone tell the kids at Santa Fe how to cross the street. There were 17 cars backed up because those kids went across peck two or three at a time and two feet apart. Can someone please teach them to have some consideration for others and cross together and at a swifter pace

rubberband August 22, 2013 at 01:02 AMLOL! THEN have someone go over to the high school (i live on Madison Ave) and teach the students there the same thing. The slow walking on purpose in front of your car thing is rage inducing UNLESS you have this in your arsenal.....fill a squirt gun with a really smelly alcohol like tequila and squirt the little jerks. Try explaining to your parents why you smell like a dive bar you little creeps. LOL! ( I know this is illegal and not OK to do but it's fun for me to think about....)
