Get the 411 on Full Closure of Magnolia Avenue at Railroad Crossing

A free shuttle service will assist pedestrians.

Magnolia Ave at the railroad crossing (just north of Duarte Rd and between Genoa St and Pomona Ave) will be fully closed to thru-traffic for four months, from Monday, April 21, 2014 through August 2014.

The closure is required to allow crews to construct grade crossing improvements, as part of the 11.5-mile Metro Gold Line Foothill Extension light rail project. Detour signage will be posted to direct motorists and pedestrians around the closure (see map).

A free shuttle service will also be available to assist pedestrians around the closure during the hours of 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., with shuttle stops located on both sides of the closure. Signage will be posted at stop locations.

Standard construction work hours are 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday. Note: Occasional longer work hours, work on the weekends and night work may be performed to complete this work as scheduled.
