Will the hillsides soon have a need for bear-resistant cars?
One local resident said in an email to Patch Wednesday that a bear has figured out how to get inside her car by opening the car door, and it's let itself in more than once.
"A bear has opened my car door (as well as my husband's) 2 times in the past few days," Norumbega Drive resident Nina Rambeau wrote. "This is a first for me and though there was an orange and some nuts left inside the 1st time, there was no food the 2nd time."
Rambeau said her neighbors should be on the lookout for the car burglar bear.
"I'd like to warn others that this is a particularly smart bear and hungry as always and on the hunt for people food," she wrote.
Have you encountered this bear? Have any bears broken into any unusual places near your home?
