Mango Creme Added to Girl Scout Cookie Jar for 2013

Cookie orders begin Jan. 13, and they will be also sold in booths beginning Feb. 12.

It's that time of year. Girl Scout Cookie sales begin Jan. 13 and a new cookie has been added to this year's lineup.

The Mango Creme, a vanilla and coconut sandwich cookie with a mango-flavored creme filling, joins this year's offering of Thin Mints, Caramel deLites/Samoas, Shortbreads/Trefoils, Peanut Butter Patties/Tagalongs, Peanut Butter Sandwiches/Do-si-dos, Lemonades, Dulce de Leche, Savannah Smiles and Thanks-a-Lots. Cookies cost $4 per box.

Orders will begin Jan. 13 and booth sales start Feb. 12 through March 10.

The cookie program has helped Girl Scouts practice skills such as goal setting, decision making, money management, people skills and business ethics for more than 80 years.

Clarification: The Girl Scouts of Greater Los Angeles, which includes Monrovia troops, will be selling the "Super Six" flavors of Thin Mints, Samoas, Tagalongs, Trefoils, Do-Si-Dos, and Savannah Smiles. They will not be offering Mango Creme.

No, no, no we will not have these cookies here in our area. Please remove this article. Customers are going to be mad.

Holly, I was just going to post the same thing . This is definitely not the super six we are selling.

Monrovia Troops will be selling the "Super Six" this year (not the cookies mentioned in the article). They are Savannah Smiles (lemon), Trefoils, Do-Si-Dos, Samoas, Tagalongs, and Thin Mints. Please correct the article so there is no confusion with customers in our area. Thanks...

I wish these were being sold in our area, I just looked them up and they sound good, even have vitamins infused in them. I buy cookies every year and it would be nice to have something new offered instead of the same 6

Very poor advertisement on behalf of the Girl Scouts.we are not selling them and I have upset people who wanted to try them. This article should be corrected and it was also advertised on the channel 5 news this morning.

I emailed the Girl Scouts of Orange County and they will have them as of the 27th so since my daughter lives in Irvine I will tell her to buy a couple of boxes. Looking forward to trying something new.
