Millions of Californians will participate in the annual earthquake drill
known as the Great California ShakeOut Thursday.
The drill is scheduled for 10:17 a.m.
to the Shakeout website, 9.3 million Californians are officially
registered for the event, with just over 4.1 million participating in
Southern California alone.
Local organizations are registered as
part of the drill, including the Monrovia Unified School District and
the U. S. Forest Service.
10:17 a.m. arrives, everyone is instructed to "drop, cover and hold."
