Photo Tour: Holy Cow! Monrovia's Best Decorated Neighborhood

The first in a series of photo galleries highlighting the city's Holiday Home Decorating Contest winners.

The unusual pairing of snowmen and cows took the stage in the Valmont neighborhood, which was named the best decorated neighborhood in the city in Monrovia's Holiday Home Decorating contest. The neighborhood truly is a sight to behold, with the residents of Valmont Drive and Valmont Place blending their love of cows and Christmas to create stunning displays.

Resident Kelley Williams said she didn't know how the cow tradition started in the neighborhood, but bovine decorations sit in the front yards of Valmont homes year-round. The neighborhood's notable holiday installations include a ski-jumping Santa, a guitar thrashing Santa, a holiday choo-choo train, and chimneys made out of cupcakes.
