UPDATE: Power Outage Hits Northern Monrovia, Bradbury

An unplanned outage has been reported on Norumbega Drive, according to the city.

An unplanned power outage has left residents on part of Norumbega Drive without electricity, according to a tweet sent out by the city Monday morning.

Southern California Edison estimates that the outage will be repaired by 5 p.m., according city spokesman Dan Bell.

"I know they have people out there," Bell said Monday afternoon. "We're waiting for any kind of feedback."

The Southern California Edison website lists an outage located in Bradbury. That outage has affected 127 customers and began at 6:44 a.m. Edison spokesman Darryl Ryan told Patch that 50 customers had their power restored by 8:30 a.m. The remaining customers were still without power as of 2:30 p.m. Monday.

Ryan said the outage was caused by a downed power line. The company's website lists the problem's cause as "equipment problems."

"We are in the process of completing repairs," the site said just after 3 p.m.
