Video: Bear Gets Pepper-Sprayed in Monrovia Tree

The bear was spotted at a local convent Sunday and had to be pepper-sprayed before it would leave.

Monrovia's flurry of furry bear activity continued last weekend when a bear had to be pepper-sprayed in a tree after he wandered onto a local convent's property, CBS2 Los Angeles reported.

Nuns at the Maryknoll Sisters told the news station that the smell of grilled steak enticed the bear to the convent Sunday afternoon before it was pepper-sprayed by Monrovia Animal Control officers in a tree in the 300 block of Norumbega Drive.
