Volunteers Needed: How to Help Foothill Unity For Thanksgiving

Local charity Foothill Unity Center will be distributing food to thousands of needy families once again this year for Thanksgiving. Here's how you can chip in.

Volunteer your time this Thanksgiving. The Foothill Unity Center is giving away food to needy families through November 20. Get the whole family involved:

Packing Day Sat Nov 17
Shift 1: 9:00a.m.-12:00p.m.
Shift 2: 11:30 a.m. –2:30 p.m., LA. County Arboretum

Distribution Nov. 19 - Large Families
LA County Arboretum
9:00a.m.-1:00p.m. Clean up 12:30-3:00 p.m.

Distribution Nov. 20, Small Families
Monrovia/Pasadena sites
Shift 1: 9:00a.m.-12:00p.m.
Shift 2: 11:30a.m.-3:00p.m. Adults &Youth

Help Deliver Thanksgiving Dinner: The Volunteer Center of San Gabriel Valley’s Community Harvest Program encourages you to share the bounty of your fruit trees with those in need in your community.  You can also call them to become part of the Meals on Wheels program, volunteering to deliver food to those homebound during the holiday. Call (626) 256-8187.

The Foothill Unity Center is also looking for help delivering food to the homebound in Pasadena or Monrovia on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday from 9am - 1pm. Call Albert at (626) 359-1777 or email albert@foothillunitycenter.org.
