Celebrate The Arts This Weekend in Old Town

Monrovia Association of Fine Arts (MAFA) presents its 48th annual arts festival “Celebrate the Arts” in Old Town Monrovia.

It is one of the longest running fine art festivals in Southern California featuring:

  1. Local and regional fine artists: displaying, selling and demonstrating their arts (painting, ceramics, collage, photography, jewelry, sculpture, etc);
  2. Hand-on art experiences for kids and adults, family friendly activities;
  3. Student Art Display;
  4. Special discount for student artists on membership and booth fee;
  5. Silent Auction;
  6. Live entertainment on multi-stage settings;
  7. Food booths;
  8. Local non-profit booths;
  9. FREE and OPEN to public.

MAFA is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization with a mission to “Enhance the lives of those within our community through interaction with the arts. And to increase the opportunities of our children through art education.”

MAFA's art events not only promote local and regional artists, but also support arts education in public and private schools.  In last many years, when budgets cuts have adversely affected our schools, MAFA’s donations of more than $50,000 have supported art education in after-school and in-school programs.  MAFA has also funded school teachers through mini-grants in Monrovia, Sierra Madre, Duarte and Arcadia.  Other local organizations supported by MAFA are Foothill Unity Center, Boys and Girls club of Monrovia and YMCA.
