The monthly meeting for Monrovia Reads, a non-profit literacy project, is held on the first Wednesday of the month at the city's community center on West Palm Avenue.
Monrovia Reads seeks to "create and support an environment where reading is valued and resources are provided in order that all community members know how to read and do read."
