Stephen Coleman to present Endeavour images to MUSD students

Monrovia Association of Fine Arts "Give the Gift of Art" Holiday Art Walk on November 24 from Noon to 8 PM in Old Town Monrovia.

Monrovia Association of Fine Arts (MAFA) and Paint 'N' Play Art Studio and Gallery will host our Holiday Art Walk on Saturday November 24th from Noon to 8 PM at 418 South Myrtle Avenue in Monrovia.  The gallery will be featuring photographer Stephen Coleman’s new show “Endeavour Moves Los Angeles”.  This show will spotlight Coleman’s unique take on the arrival of the space shuttle Endevour and it’s subsequent move through the streets of LA to it’s final home at the California Science Center in Exposition Park.  Other MAFA artists will also be displaying in front of and behind Paint 'N' Play's Gallery.

During a presentation at 7 PM Stephen will kindly donate selected Endeavour images to Monrovia Unified School Districts’ students to be displayed in the local schools to inspire students to get involved in science.  Clifton Middle School teacher Kyle McClure, chosen as a Teacher of the Year by Los Angeles County Office of Education, will be on hand with Patrick Garcia, MUSD arts coordinator and  a group of local students to accept the presentation.

The Art Walk and Reception will feature entertainment, refreshments and demonstrations, as well as an opportunity to purchase the offerings of local painters, photographers, jewelers, and sculptors.  Here is a recap of the day's events:
