Chick-fil-A Offering 1-Year Supply to First 100 Customers at Azusa Opening

Chick-fil-A, the popular chicken sandwich chain, is headed to the east San Gabriel Valley, with a location in Azusa near the Azusa Pacific University and Citrus College campuses.

The location, at 900 E. Alosta Ave., will open on Feb. 21, offering the first 100 customers at its grand opening a one-year supply of free Chick-fil-A meals. That would be 52 coupons for Chick-fil-A Chicken Sandwiches, Waffle Potato Fries and a medium drink, a $29,000 value, according to the chain. The first 100 customers must be adults, ages 18 and older with identification, and in line when doors open at about 6 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 21.

Chick-fil-A has given away 100 free meals at grand openings since opening its Arizona location in 2003, where the first customer waited in line 18 hours to claim his prize.

The line at the Azusa grand opening will officially open at 6 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 20. Those camping out often come prepared with tents, televisions, blankets, chairs and games. Chick-fil-A will provide security and a parking lot party for the campers and anyone dropping by.

If there are more than 100 people waiting in line 6 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 20, all 100 spots will be determined by a raffle. For complete rules, see the Chick-fil-A First 100 Promotion.
