Contest: Show Your Love for Old Town Monrovia

The "I Love Old Town Video Contest" kicked off Monday on Facebook.

Want to win 100 "Old Town Bucks?"

The Old Town Monrovia Facebook page is holding a video contest asking residents to upload footage of themselves describing what they like best about the shopping district. Here's how you participate, per the contest:

  • Post a video of any length on YouTube that shows why you LOVE Old Town Monrovia.
  • Share the video link here on our Facebook page.

The winner will be announced the night of Friday, Feb. 3 at 8:30 pm at 412 S. Myrtle Avenue.

Wow - what an insulting, non-constructive post. You live in a city whose citizens banded together to…Read More tax themselves to save it Foothill wilderness, raised funds to renovate its schools and to build a state of the art library. The fact that one one single event in the year didn't go the way you wanted made you ashamed to be a Monrovian suggests you need to seriously rethink your priorities in life. As the first response said, quit complaining and get involved. Its not very hard in this city to find out how to volunteer if you had given it a slight effort. And the volunteer groups like the one that put the event together are starving for help since tearing people down is a lot more popular these days than putting in hard work. You are the one who should be ashamed.
