Monrovia Bakery 'Retiring' After 42 Years in Business

The bakery will be closing up shop after serving the city baked goods for decades.

The Monrovia City Council recognized the family who runs the Monrovia Bakery Tuesday for operating the business in town for 42 years.

The Mueller family was given a certificate by the council during the regular council meeting Tuesday. The bakery will be "retiring" at the end of April, Mayor Mary Ann Lutz said.

"They have earned this retirement, but we are going to miss them more than they know," Lutz said.
