Monrovia's Friday Family Festival will celebrate its 20th birthday this week.

The festival along Myrtle Avenue that features food and crafts vendors is the largest of its kind in the state, according to the My Monrovia Business Blog. A special ceremony will be held Friday to commemorate the event's anniversary.

"To mark this occasion, a special ceremony will take place at 6 p.m. in the entertainment area with representatives from the city to acknowledge the very successful weekly event...," the business blog reports.
