Video: Monrovia's Merengue Bakery Makes R2-D2 Cake
The latest specialty cake from Monrovia's Merengue Bakery is a life-size recreation of R2-D2 from Star Wars.
Trying to top the giant 8-foot cake its bakers built in September, Monrovia's Merengue Bakery has now created a cake built to look like Star Wars robot R2-D2.
The robotic cake stands 3 feet tall, weighs 175 pounds, has a motorized head and produces sound effects. It's made from Chocolate Parisian, Triple Berry and Dulce de Leche cakes as well as Rice Krispy Treats.
