Voting Closed for 'Main Street Matters' Competition, Monrovia Waiting for Results

Votes are being counted in the contest to determine which downtown areas across the nation will receive a makeover.

Voting has ended in the "Main Street Matters" contest and results will be released on July 8, according to the contest's website.

The contest challenged residents of selected cities across America, including Monrovia, to cast votes for their town online. Winning cities will have their downtowns repainted by paint company Benjamin Moore.

Monrovia Mayor Mary Ann Lutz has been promoting the contest on her Facebook page. The contest's progress can be followed through the company's social media accounts collected here.
