The Spelling Bee Committee would like to thank all those who participated in the 5th annual Despicable Bee event at the Community Center.  We would also like to thank Mayor Mary Ann Lutz and the City of Monrovia for providing the facility again for this year’s event and making the introductions.  Monrovia Reads representative Joanne Spring for providing books and gift certificates for the winning students.  The Math and Science Academy students for the effort they made to see that this citywide spelling pulled through and the Monrovia Public Library Tab students for providing snacks.  Mostly we would like to thank every student who participated, their parents for their support and teachers and principals of each school.
