Students from Monrovia High School’s Math and Science Academy present Monrovia’s 2014 citywide “Despicable Bee” spelling bee Saturday, April 12, at the Monrovia Community Center. The spelling bee will begin promptly at 1:00 pm and will continue until the final speller remains standing (approximately 4:00pm). Monrovia Public Library Teen Advisory Board (TAB) will offer snacks for purchase before, during, and after the event. Students from Plymouth, Mayflower, Bradoaks, Monroe, Clifton and Santa Fe schools have committed to compete in this fifth citywide spelling bee. Come and support these bright and dedicated students from our community as they compete in what is always an intense, exciting, and fun event.
