Monrovia Church Hosting Barbeque 'Throwdown' This Weekend

The Greater Ambassador Church of God in Christ challenges attendees of its barbeque "throwdown" to "eat 'til your heart's content."

The will host its second annual barbeque "throwdown" Saturday.

Featuring food prepared by Joshua Thomas from Gus' Barbeque in South Pasadena and Kenya Newman of K.J.'s Wings, the event kicks off at 2 p.m. Saturday and lasts until 6 p.m.

"Come enjoy an evening of fellowship and deliciousness," the church's flyer proclaims.

Advance tickets can be purchased for $10; tickets are $13 at the door.
