School Board to Interview Superintendent Candidates Tuesday

Finalists for the district's top administrative post will answer questions in closed session.

Finalists for the Monrovia Unified School District's superintendent position will be interviewed by the school board in closed session Tuesday evening, according to a board agenda.

The agenda does not specify the number of candidates who will be interviewed or identify the finalists by name. They are vying to replace Linda Wagner, who left MUSD in April to take the superintendent position in Anaheim.

The candidates were selected in consultation with an executive search firm. Several petitions were started on behalf of Interim Superintendent Deborah Collins last month calling on the board to appoint her to the permanent post but the board decided to move forward with the search process.

The closed session will convene at 6:15 p.m. at district headquarters.
