Monrovia Duarte Black Alumni Association and MAP invite you to join fellow Monrovians at the first event of Black History Month 2014, "The Civil Rights Movement in America".

Let's view a slice of American history through the eyes of the Civil Rights movement.  Bring your own chair and maybe a blanket.  Snacks will be for sale.

It is sad that groups such as MonroviaDuarte Black Alumni Association and MAP would believe that presenting their insights into The Civil Rights Movement In American would be of benefit to me a white man. Even sadder that they choose to ignore the insights of the hundreds of surviving baby boomers , such as me, that lived through the 1960's as part of the a white alumni group. We learned fear first hand at the hands of the so called civil rights movement here on the Monrovia Duarte home land. Our high school years were turned upside down by raciest hell bent to hold us responsible for all 300 years of injustices to the negro race in America. I have insights to what it was like to be a teenager held to an accounting for something I had nothing to do with least of all understood. BTW ... as a Scottish/Swedish German/Irish AMERICAN I can assure all blacks and white alike ... Not one of my forefathers EVER owned a Human being. PEACE.
