MONROVIA, CA – OCTOBER
2, 2013 – SET for LIFE, in partnership with City of Hope/CCARE, Mobile Mammogram
Screening, Second Baptist Church, Inc., CVS and other partners is hosting the 9th
Annual Healthy Living for LIFE Expo on Saturday, October 19, from 1:00pm –
3:00pm. Blood pressure, BMI, Cholesterol, Blood glucose, Chiropractic and other
screenings, stress relieving massages, a catered lunch and a panel of medical
experts will be available FREE for the entire community. Approved Covered California nonprofit
organizations will be on hand to discuss your healthcare options under the new
Affordable Health Care Act. Open enrollment began October 1 and the deadline to
sign up and to be insured by Jan. 1, 2014, is Dec. 15.
The Healthy Living for LIFE Expo will take place in the
Fannie M. Goodwin Education Center on the campus of Second Baptist Church, 925
South Shamrock Ave. in Monrovia. Over 50
women have already registered for free mammograms. To be put on the waiting
