TREE DAMAGE AND THE  2011 SAN GABRIEL VALLEY  WINDSTORM: PREDESTINED OR PREVENTABLE?

Come to the February Garden Club Meeting and hear guest speaker Frank McDonough discuss recent studies and findings regarding the damaged and destroyed trees resulting from the 2011 windstorm.  Learn why the selection, planting and care of trees is so important and how to avoid mistakes and assumptions. 
Frank McDonough has more than thirty years experience as a nurseryman and botanist. He is the Botanical Information Consultant for the Arboretum and answers thousands of tree and plant related questions each year.

Everyone is invited.  Dinner begins at 6:30 P.M.; followed by the program at 7:15 P.M. Catered dinner is $10;  reservations for dinner must be made by February 7th at 626-836-4945. There is no charge for attending only the program.
