The Monrovia Department of Community Services will host an AARP Driver Safety Course on Thursday, March 6, and Friday, March 7, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the Community Center.
The two-day course will focus on the new and improved course material to incorporate older adult learning strategies.
The new “Smart Driver Course” is six units and the new content includes: brain health, railroad and animal crossing, and expanded information on automobile technology.
AARP has also introduced new course fees: $15 for AARP members and $20 for non-members; payable by check only to AARP.
Reservations must be made in advance, and payments are to be given to the instructor on the first day of the class.
