A Little Clifton Silliness and MUSD Praise

A little Friday silliness and props to MUSD's thriving electives.

I posted it over at blogging.la the video from the intermission at that is done by Drama Teacher Randy Medina at the fall and spring performances. You can watch it on that post HERE.

With my last child leaving Clifton and the Drama program I am a bit melancholy about the whole leaving Clifton thingy. I'm a big supporter of MUSD and believe that a public school education leaves our kids more well rounded than an isolated parochial school.

Of course I marvel at how MUSD has managed to keep electives like Drama alive despite the huge annual they have faced since my oldest started at more years ago than I care to admit. Sure, Drama does need to do some fund raising to pay for their scripts but even that isn't too bad and it is fun for the kids with it being just enough to help keep the program alive.

I'm sure I've missed a few other electives that MUSD has managed to keep alive during these trying times. What pray tell is your favorite elective left alive in the schools?
