Happy 125th Birthday Monrovia!

Rotarians will be out in full force at the Fountain to the Falls Event.

We are coming up on year 125 for Monrovia and I for one am planning to celebrate the feat this weekend by running on my feet in the first annual event. This will be the longest organized run I have ever done (probably the longest I have ever done period). I am so excited to run/walk with my fellow Monrovians in the town that I love!

The Rotary Club of Monrovia will be out in force at the Fountain to the Falls event volunteering to hand out water and direct traffic with all the other generous volunteers for this event. Come on out and cheer on the runners (I need all the support I can get) and then spend the afternoon in the park for all the activies that the City of Monrovia has planned for our 125th Anniversary. The race starts at 7 a.m. and the activities in the park start at 10 a.m., according to the city website.

Make sure you also come out to see the Monrovia Day Parade on Myrtle this Thursday night at 7 p.m. There will be several Rotarians in the parade. See if you can spot them. Our own Mayor Mary Ann Lutz, Councilman Tom Adams, City Treasurer Steve Baker (hopefully dressed in his usual tux and top hat), and Andy Montgomery (who will be driving one of his classic cars with his mother Joanne Montgomery).

This week in Rotary News we have inducted two new members to our club. We would like to welcome Josh Garcia, of First Financial Consulting and Timothy L. Moore, of Mass Mutual to our Rotary family.

We’ve removed the ability to reply as we work to make improvements. Learn more here
