Hello fellow residents of Monrovia!
On behalf of all of us here at KGEM, your local community television provider that has been bringing you local volunteer produced cable programming for over 25 years, we wish you a very happy holiday season and a wonderful new year.
This year our staff and volunteer producers went all out creating holiday programming thanks to Santa and his elves coming out to the station to sprinkle magic dust on the cameras.
Well, actually we're able to do this holiday program due to some great local sponsors featured in the video you're about to see that donated to ensure this block of holiday programs reached your t.v. and computer screens.
KGEM exists to provide local coverage of government and educational programs and to give volunteers like you the chance to produce their own t.v. shows. We're a non-profit 501c3 that can do more great programming thanks to sponsors like the wonderful local businesses featured in the Holiday Special.
You can contact KGEM to volunteer, make your own t.v. program, or make a donation to expand our slate of programs by either calling the studio at 626.357.4974 or visiting the website at www.kgem.tv. You can also come by the studio at 847 E. Olive Ave. Monrovia CA. 91016.
The holiday block of programming is playing on KGEM, channel 3 Time/Warner, channel 6 Champion cable, from now until after New Years. If you missed it in person, you can also see the annual Monrovia Christmas parade as well.
You can go to www.kgem.tv and click the "Schedules" tab to see actual showtimes for the cable airings.
The Holiday Special on Youtube is set up as a playlist, so you can skip to each performance by clicking on one of the icons to the right or if you let it play, it will play in sequence.
My advice is to let this playlist run in the backgound as you do other holiday activities, it's a wonderful mood setter and you're supporting local businesses, local artists and your local KGEM studio by sharing.
