Donald Robert Palmer

Monrovia High School alumni Donald "Don" Robert Palmer, 56, died Nov. 6 after a year battling cancer.  He was 56.

The Fontana resident was born Sept. 25, 1957 in Johnson City, N.Y. and moved with his family to Monrovia in 1973.  He graduated with Monrovia High's class of 1975.

The computer engineer began his career at RJS Enterprises, Inc. in Monrovia after graduation and worked there until 1994. He then went to work for General Micro Systems, Inc., in Rancho Cucamonga.

Don and his wife Debbie met as high school seniors. They went on their first date to Disneyland on Grad Night and were married in 1977.

Ray Meyer

Long time Monrovia resident Ray Meyer died last week after a three-year hard fought battle with pancreatic cancer.

Meyer graduated from Monrovia High in 1962. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, three children, and six grandchildren. He and his wife had moved to Carson City, Nev. for retirement.
