Blog: MHS Renaissance Celebrates Scholar-Athletes

MHS Renaissance continues to celebrate student achievement!

On Friday night the stadium at Monrovia High School was taken over at halftime of the MHS vs. La Canada football game by the Award winning Renaissance program as they celebrated their annual Scholar-Athlete Night. 67 student athletes were awarded this honor by attaining a 3.5 GPA during their varsity season of the 2011-2012 school year. Students were accompanied onto the field by their families and were congratulated by members of the MUSD School Board as well as the Superintendent and Deputy Superintendent. Rounding out the dignitaries on the field were the school's administrative team. Students received a medallion commemorating their achievement and were hosted by the Renaissance program at a reception immediately after the halftime ceremony. This event is another piece of evidence of the great work happening at MHS. It truly is great to be a Wildcat!
