The Harlem Wizards Are Back! I Think I'm Ready

The Wizards Are Coming! The Wizards Are Coming!

At the end of March last year the Renaissance program at sponsored a fun-filled evening of trick basketball filled with lots of laughs an amazing slam dunks.  The world famous Harlem Wizards were the main attraction as they took on a team of "All-Stars" composed of teachers and staff (and a board member) from MUSD.  As a member of that all-star team I experienced first hand the fun and laughs up close and personal.

Apparently it was alot of fun because we are bringing the Wizards back, for a return in engagement this year, marking their 50th anniversary in basketball entertainment.  The Wizards will be visiting a few of our local schools on Wednesday the 18th as a promotional tour for the game, which takes place at the MHS Events Center on Saturday night, April 21st at 7:00 pm.

I have been working out feverishly to get in game shape as have my other teammates.  Principal Darvin Jackson is ready to display his skills as are many of our staff from the high school.  Jennifer Gates leads a contingent of four Clifton Middle School staffers onto the court that night and members of Santa Fe Middle School and Monroe Elementary will be ready to rock the gym as well.
