12-Year-Old Hit and Run Victim's Condition Upgraded

Berenice De La Torre has been removed from intensive care and has begun physical therapy, according to the Clifton Middle School principal.

Clifton Middle School Principal Jennifer Gates shares the following information about Berenice De La Torre, the 12-year-old middle schooler who was severely injured in a :

I just received wonderful information about Berenice's condition from her sister that I wanted to share.  She has been removed from ICU and has started physical therapy.  I will be giving the family the first round of donations tomorrow in excess of $1,000.  We are continuing our fundraising efforts by collecting cards, money or gift cards at every school site.  As a reminder, if you are interested in donating money, all checks must be made payable to the Kiwanis Foundation.
