4 Firefighters Injured in Area Fire

A total of 35 firefighters took almost three and a half hours to knock down the residential fire in Baldwin Park.

Four firefighters suffered minor burns as they fought a structure fire in Baldwin Park, authorities said today.

Los Angeles County Fire Department Supervising Fire Dispatcher Michael Pittman said the four were briefly hospitalized and allowed to return to duty.

The house in the 13000 block of Parkwood Boulevard was fully engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived about 11 p.m. Tuesday and was empty at the time, Pittman said.
