A preliminary hearing is set for Wednesday in the case against a Monrovia man accused of molesting several children at a Duarte elementary school.
Wade Joseph Bughman, a former teacher at Beardslee Elementary School in Duarte, is charged with 11 counts of child molestation for allegedly abusing at least seven children between 1997 and 2010.
A preliminary hearing determines whether a case will go to trial and is usually the first opportunity for prosecutors to present evidence and testimony in the case. Bughman's case is being heard in a Pasadena Superior Court courtroom.
