Antonovich Offers $10,000 Reward for Information Leading to Father of 3's Killer

Jose Antonio Parra's killer remains at large.

Supervisor Mike Antonovich put up a $10,000 reward Tuesday for information leading to the arrest of the man who in unincorporated Arcadia.

Jose Antonio Parra, 35, and his family returned home around 8 p.m. Monday from a church service; upon entering their garage, they encountered a man with a gun who demanded money.

Parra handed over $1,800 set aside for the mortagage on the home he, his wife and their three children, ages 3, 5 and 6, shared. The Sheriff's Department says the killer believed Parra had more money in the house and ordered Parra's wife and kids into a downstairs bedroom.

Meanwhile, a conflict ensued between the two men and two to four shots were fired. Parra's family came out of the bedroom to find Parra dead.

The suspect is described as Hispanic man, with a light complexion, approximately 5-feet-7-inches inches tall and 150 pounds with a thin build. He has black hair, brown eyes and was wearing dark clothing, a black hoodie sweatshirt and a bandaid under his eye.
