Area Man Crashes into Home in Pasadena

A 44-year-old Arcadia man was hospitalized Monday with moderate injuries after he crashed into a home while being pursued by police in Pasadena.

The pursuit began at 5:17 p.m. at Old Ranch Road and Huntington Drive in Arcadia when an officer saw a driver running a red light, said Lt. Roy Nakamura of the Arcadia Police Department.

The driver continued west on Huntington Drive, where he ran through a second red light at Sunset Avenue.

When the driver turned onto Sunset Avenue and crossed Michillinda Avenue, the officer tried to stop him, said Nakamura, but he continued on California Avenue until he crashed into a home at the corner of Sidney and California avenues.

The driver, who was not identified, was the only person in the vehicle and no one was at home in the residence.
