Car Burglaries Are Monrovia's #1 Crime

Theft from unsecured vehicles is the city's most common crime, according to Monrovia Police Chief Jim Hunt.

Monrovia Police Chief Jim Hunt wrote the following in the weekly City Manager's Report:

The number one crime we are experiencing in the City of Monrovia is theft from vehicles. It only takes a few seconds for thieves to break into your vehicle and steal your valuables. It only takes a few seconds to remove your valuables and secure your vehicle. Don't be a victim! Please check out our website for valuable tips on how to protect your vehicle from becoming the target of thieves."
