Collection Started to Help Monrovia Family Who Lost Home in Fire

A local resident is collecting money and clothes for a couple who lost their home and everything inside when a fire broke out in a bedroom this weekend.

Monrovia resident Janie Duncan is organizing a donation drive for an elderly couple who lost their home and all possessions in a house fire Sunday.

Duncan will be buying clothes for the family at the United Methodist Church's thrift store Tuesday and invited local residents to join her there between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. People interested in making donations can reach Duncan at the thrift store at 626-303-2783.
