Four MPD Officers Recognized for DUI Arrests

Mothers Against Drunk Drivers honored for local police officers for their DUI enforcement efforts.

On Tuesday night the City Council recognized the members of the Monrovia Police Department who received awards from the Mothers Against Drunk Drivers (M.A.D.D.) organization. Every year M.A.D.D. recognizes police officers who help keep drunk drivers off the roads. This year, the Los Angeles County M.A.D.D. chapter recognized four Monrovia officers for their work in DUI enforcement and setting up DUI checkpoints. M.A.D.D. recognized the following:

  • Officer Gerald Dehart: 30+ DUI arrests in 2011
  • Officer Thomas Montez: 30+ DUI arrests in 2011
  • Sergeants Patti Newton & Nick Manfredi: Team Award for overall support and supervision of DUI enforcement
