Hiker Rescued Near Angeles National Forest

A hiker suffering from dehydration was plucked out of an area near the Angeles National Forest by a sheriff's helicopter crew at 4:34 p.m., says the county fire department's Scott Miller. The location was reported as Bliss Canyon and Long Canyon roads in Bradbury.

I wondered why both of the Sheriff's rescue copters and a couple of TV station copters were in the hills above us yesterday. My first thought was a rescue but then I also thought "Who'd be stupid enough to go hiking on a blistering hot day like this?!?" Thanks for the information.
