Man Eludes Monrovia Police Officers, Helicopter After Chase on Foot

Police responded to a call reporting an argument on Huntington Drive and a man took off running. He was not found, and police don't know if he did anything wrong.

A man took off running when confronted by police officers and was able to elude capture Wednesday despite the aid of a helicopter in the search, police said.

Monrovia Police officers responded to a report of an argument between two men and a woman near the intersection of California Avenue and Huntington Drive at about 10:40 a.m., Monrovia Police Sgt. Don Newton said.

When police arrived there was just one man at the location and he fled on foot, Newton said. A police helicopter was called in to look for the man but he was not found and police are unsure why the man ran.
