The Monrovia Fire Department is battling a brush fire in the foothills north of Hillcrest Boulevard and Madison Avenue, a Monrovia fire dispatcher said.

Firefighters were dispatched to the scene at 11:06 a.m. on Saturday. Los Angeles County helicopters and additional resources have just been sent as well, and one structure is threatened.
