On Friday, May 2, 2014 Arcadia Police Officers were conducting burglary suppression patrol in the area of Second Avenue and Huntington Drive. An officer observed a subject in the parking lot of a hotel attempting to break into a vehicle. As the officer attempted to detain the subject, he fled on foot. A containment was set up, and after a short foot pursuit, the subject was detained and arrested.
The suspect was identified as a 21 year old resident of Monrovia who is on parole for grand theft auto.
