Details are scarce in the weekend mountain lion attack that Monrovia Police warned residents in a foothill neighborhood about.
The sent out a robocall Tuesday night warning of a mountain lion that attacked two house cats over the weekend.
Police received a call from a resident in the 400 block of Lotone Street who said that the mountain lion attacked two cats in the area after 11 p.m. Sunday. The animal fled before police arrived, Monrovia Police Sgt. Michael Head said.
The condition of the pets was unknown, Head said. A spokesman for the California Department of Fish and Game could not be immediately reached for comment.
