Just glad that nobody was hurt in this.

What a terrible shame for the family who lives there. It's quite a reminder to the rest of us of how quickly our lives can change.

And something that you'd least expect can cause a home fire. A friend started her car in her garage and a loose fuel line did it. She lost her car and her home. What street is this home on?

Ellen, I think I read it was on Fifth. I hope this woman and her dog (and family if there is) has been settled in some way. They'been displaced. Don't know if there is insurance that will help her or family or what. Would be nice if she could be identified and the community help in some way if she is having to start over. Too soon to know just now, but if she winds up back in town and needs things to start over, somebody may have an extra couch, and somebody an extra refrigerator, and so on until she can replace what she needs. Just a thought. After all, she was a Monrovian, and Monrovia should take care of its own in time of trial.

As an aside, some of those photographs were quite well done!

Agreed, Robert. I was impressed by the photography as well.

We drove past it yesterday. In the 70' a friend of ours lived there. The FD saved that neighborhood that for sure.
