The Montrose Search and Rescue Team and deputies from the are looking for a "potentially missing person'' in the Angeles National Forest, authorities said Friday.
Someone called the station at 1:37 p.m. to report an unoccupied car parked at Stoneyvale Campground on Big Tujunga Canyon Road in the Angeles National Forest, said Lt. Tonya Edwards. The license plate, on the gray Mitsubishi, came back registered to a missing person, she said.
"We don't know if the person attached to the car is out there or not. We're not looking for someone who was supposed to meet up with so-and-so at a certain time and didn't," she said, explaining why the person authorities are searching for is "potentially missing."
